Video Games + Hip-Hop = Chip-Hop

Take video games, the '80s, hip-hop, jazz, soul, and stand-up comedy and place them all in a blender and hit puree. Once everything is nice and blended, then you'd have The Mega Ran Experience.

Penn State graduate and self-proclaimed Teacher/Rapper/Hero, Mega Ran, made waves by combining 8-bit video game sounds and hard-hitting hip-hop tracks. Mega Ran's first album "The Call" was a critical success, featuring tracks with highly respected underground artists.

Mega Ran, named after his alter-ego and classic video game character Mega Man, created a tribute album that lead to him becoming the first rapper ever to be licensed by Capcom.

Arguably the world's most well known video-game influenced performance artist, Mega Ran's high-energy shows and fun, nerdy persona have led to 3 Billboard charting Indie releases, and music featured on ESPN, 20/20, Portlandia , and WWE Wrestling.

Mega Ran will be performing live in St. Louis at 2720 Cherokee Street on Friday, February 10th for The Retroactive Tour. Visit here to purchase tickets!
